History
Gravent was conceived by Mr. Gangadhar B. Gadre in 1980 when he started his own business after a glorious career with blue chip groups such as Birla Group in India and Nigeria and with the N.K. Mehta Group in Uganda.
He was a BE (Mechanical & Electrical) from the College of Engineering, Pune and an innovator par excellence! He led teams that developed Ballot Boxes, Refrigerators, All Aluminium Bus Body Kits, Semi-Trailer Double Decker Bus and Natural Ventilators amongst others.
Having dealt with similar imported products in the past, he was convinced about Natural Ventilation being a “Green Option” much before the term was coined. The “fit & forget” concept was what he believed in and strove to incorporate in all products.
Our Leadership Team
A mechanical engineer with 35 years of rich experience in the field of Solar Passive Architecture with special emphasis on Natural Ventilation, Daylighting & Shading of buildings.
Apart from Gravent, he has also worked on Passive Downdraft Evaporative Cooling (PDEC) systems as well as Structural Insulated Panels including setting up the first equipment shelter for Mobile Telephony.
An alumnus of IIT Kharagpur He is a longtime associate and has been instrumental in designing “mixed mode” ventilation systems with cooled filtered air inlet with natural exhaust through Gravent.
